This month, it's all about Paris, France!
Best Spots for Iconic Parisian Views
Paris offers stunning views at nearly every turn, but a few lesser-known spots make for extra-special photos.
- Printemps Department Store: For an elevated view over the city, head to the rooftop terrace of Printemps department store, where you can take in the Paris skyline for free, framed by classic French rooftops and the Eiffel Tower in the distance.
- Montparnasse Tower: Though less famous, it offers panoramic views that include the Eiffel Tower, especially magical at sunset.
- Parc des Buttes-Chaumont: For a more relaxed vibe, this hidden gem (in the 19th arrondissement) features dramatic cliffs and a temple-topped hill offering scenic views of Montmartre and Sacré-Cœur.
A Day Trip to Versailles or Giverny
Paris is surrounded by rich cultural sites, and both Versailles and Giverny offer an unforgettable day trip.
Just an hour from Paris, Versailles invites you to explore its opulent Hall of Mirrors, vast gardens, and the intricacies of royal French history. To avoid crowds, consider visiting early in the morning or late afternoon.
Giverny, the former home of artist Claude Monet, enchants visitors with its lush, water-lily-filled gardens, which inspired some of Monet’s most famous works. Stroll through Monet’s studio and house for a glimpse into his world, and experience firsthand the beauty that captivated him.

Trusty Travel Tip
Restaurants that are conveniently next to popular tourist attractions are ALWAYS exorbitantly priced and usually not very good. Instead, try walking a few blocks away to eat at a normal restaurant, not one geared for tourists with inflated prices and just ok food.
Also beware of places where the menu is written in multiple languages for tourists — these are also going to be an overpriced disappointment.
